Get Started on Your Summer Body Now with Surgery-Free CoolSculpting®

If there’s one thing New Jersey is known for far and wide, it’s the beautiful Jersey Shore (and no, we don’t mean the TV show). Once the summer hits, few things are as enjoyable as lounging around on the beach or sauntering along the boardwalk. And, if you want to look your best in your beachwear this summer, you need to start making plans now.

Dieting and exercise are great, but they only go so far. Despite our best efforts, many of us are left with stubborn areas of flabby fat, even if we diet and exercise for months on end. To look and feel your best this summer, you need to do something to slim down and tone up, and at EMG Medical Group, we can help you do just that with state-of-the-art noninvasive CoolSculpting® treatment. CoolSculpting® uses advanced technology to destroy fat cells so they’re gone for good, and because it can take a while for your final results to appear, starting now means your body will be slim and sleek just in time for those summer waves to start rolling in.

How CoolSculpting® works

CoolSculpting® uses unique cooling technology to freeze away fat cells, breaking down fat cells and destroying fat in specific areas of your body. The CoolSculpting® treatment is completely noninvasive and nonsurgical, which means there are no incisions, no scars, no suction, and not even any needles or injections.

Unlike some laser systems that use intense bursts of heat to melt fat away, CoolSculpting® uses patented technology to send targeted “streams” of cold energy deep under your skin where fat cells are located. When the cold energy reaches the fat cells, it causes the cell walls to weaken and become brittle, breaking apart and releasing the fatty material they contain. After your treatment is done, your body metabolizes the remaining debris and your lymph system carries it away, eventually eliminating it from your body, so your slimmer contours are revealed. Since it takes a few weeks for the final results to become visible, starting treatment now means your body will have plenty of time to “reshape” itself by the time warm weather arrives.

What to expect during a CoolSculpting® treatment

CoolSculpting® treatments are performed right in our office in about an hour or less, depending on the area that’s being treated. During the treatment session, you’ll recline and relax while the CoolSculpting® device goes to work freezing away your fat cells. As the cold energy penetrates your skin, you’ll feel a deep cooling sensation, but your body will quickly become accustomed to the temperature shift so you’ll no longer notice the cold. Once your treatment session is complete, you can go right back to your regular activities because there’s no downtime to fit into your schedule.

You’ll start to notice your results within a few weeks of your treatment, with the final results becoming visible at about eight to 12 weeks, once your body carries away all the fatty debris. Depending on the amount of fat you want to remove, you might need a second treatment to refine your contours even more.

CoolSculpting® is great for treating fat in the tummy area and on your arms, waist and thighs, and it can even be used to eliminate stubborn fat under your chin. Remember: CoolSculpting® is a body-contouring treatment that’s designed to reshape and refine your curves and contours. It’s not meant as a weight-loss procedure, nor should it be used in place of a healthy diet and exercise. While the fat that’s destroyed won’t come back, you can still gain weight in other areas, so it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle so you can continue to look and feel great.
